Dr. Colin Robertson
Colin Robertson is an Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University where he runs the Spatial Lab. Colin's research investigates how novel sources of geographic data can be used in environmental and health research. Growing up in Vancouver, BC, outdoor skating was a rarity, but RinkWatch has inspired him to start.

Dr. Robert McLeman
Robert McLeman is Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he studies how environmental change affects communities and households. As a kid, he learned how to skate on the creek behind his house and on the outdoor rink at Chalmers Street Public School in Cambridge, Ontario.

Haydn Lawrence
Haydn Lawrence is a PhD student (Geomatics) at the University of Waterloo. He was born in Toronto, but moved to Moncton, NB when he was a child. His research interests centre around data/information and its use in today's society, looking at machine learning algorithms in the context of capturing spatial data from text. His interests are a smorgasbord of activities; from scuba diving in Thailand, bungee jumping in Nepal, skydiving here in Canada, snowboarding where ever possible, or just sitting back on a snowy night and reading a sci-fi book (nerdy, he knows).

Laura Sente
Laura Sente is a RinkWatch Research Assistant and is in her fourth and final year of the BBA program at Laurier. Within her degree, she seeks to specialize in Marketing and is working towards a minor in Environmental Studies. She is especially interested in how sustainable business operations can create positive social change in local communities and at a larger scale. In her free time, Laura enjoys hiking and skating.

Hannah Balkissoon
Hannah Balkissoon is a second year student at Laurier, completing a Bachelors of Business Administration with a minor in Environmental Science and Economics. In her free time, she enjoys going for walks, spending time with family and baking!

Will Bender
Will Bender is completing a degree in Environmental Studies at Laurier and is a Research Assistant for RinkWatch. He’s been playing hockey since he was 5 years old. In addition to playing hockey, he enjoys drumming, reading, and walking his dog.
